Several issues have been extensively explored in last years in order to improve the hydrogen sorption properties of magnesium for Hydrogen storage. Among other parameters, the material microstructure and particle size play an important role, even if a detailed description of the elementary processes behind the reaction of Mg with gaseous hydrogen are still far to be completely understood [1].
