X-Ray Scattering Techniques:
strategic tools for Material Science

Welcome

X-ray diffraction is a central technique in the investigation of condensed matter, providing direct insight into the crystal structures of materials. It is a very flexible method, with applications ranging from quantitative assessment of industrial feed and product materials to complex crystal structure determination.

Scope of this workshop is to highlight some applications in Material Science in order to extend the borders for scientists yet working with X-ray diffraction. Furthermore it is oriented to provoke the curiosity and need of collaboration for people who need deep materials characterization, also for industrial applications.

The workshop intends to improve the communication among CNR research units, academia, other research centers and industry in order to develop a large coordination capability.
